Fans of Kitten Mittens; the D.E.N.N.I.S. System; the McPoyles; and Flip, Flip, Flipadelphia should rejoice -- the cult classic It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has already begun filming scenes on location in the show’s namesake city.

This isn’t an April’s Fools joke -- temps are more than 70 and work is underway on the sixth season of ASIP.

Sunny was filming Thursday on the ice inside the Wachovia Center in South Philly, a set source told NBCPhiladelphia.

But, don’t expect to see stars Danny Devito, Charlie Day or Rob McElhenney prowling around the City of Brotherly Love just yet.

“It’s just stunt doubles for Mac and Charlie,” said the source.

The actual stars won’t be in town until late June when they begin shooting outdoor scenes for the upcoming season of the FX show.

It should be fun to see how the gang deals with Kaitlin Olson, a.k.a. Sweet Dee, being pregnant. Her and costar/husband McElhenney are expecting their first child in August, according to the Inquirer’s Michael Klein.

The shooting continues Friday at an undisclosed location before they take a break from the City of Brotherly Love, said our source.
