Remember the Phillies fan and his daughter who made national headlines last season after he gave his daughter a foul ball only to watch his 3-year-old girl throw it back towards the field.
The Laurel Spring, N.J. girl summed up what happened last Sept.: “I dropped the ball”
The girl's father never got mad at her making the story even more touching. But, considering it was the 32-year-old Phillies fan’s first foul ball ever, losing the ball had to sting a little bit.
Comedy Central’s Daniel Tosh gave that dad, Steve Monforto, and his daughter Emily a shot at "Web redemption" on the latest episode of Tosh.0.
Tosh featured the Monfortos on a hilarious segment where he set up a tea party for her and a baseball dream for him.
Of course Tosh had to have some fun before getting into it.
“Emily, would you take steroids if it made you better at tea parties?” Tosh joked.
Joking aside this was a fun reintroduction to the dad and his adorable daughter made famous after the little girl threw the ball back.
Tosh tested Emily on things that she should keep or throw back by tossing her everything from big lollipop to a wad of cash to a John Mayer CD to Mardi Gras beads. Have fun guessing which ones she kept and which ones she tossed.
Tosh also had fun with dad by adopting him a grown baseball playing son named Oscar who obviously was a bit older than 14 as Tosh claimed.
While Monforto played catch with Oscar, a fairy-winger Tosh sat down for tea with young Emily.
The sketch wrapped up with Tosh calling his shot to Monforto to give the dad a second chance at catching a ball. Did pops make the grab and did Emily throw it back? Watch the video to find out.
