A man faces charges after three people, including a 9-year-old girl from Pennsylvania, were killed in a Christmas Eve crash where Delaware police said the driver who struck their minivan ran away from the wreckage.

Delaware State Police told people to that would be seeing an “increased police presence” in part of Rehoboth Beach Sunday afternoon due to “criminal investigation in the area.”

The Delaware Department of Agriculture announced Tuesday in a news release that they have expanded the spotted lanternfly quarantine to the entire state with the inclusion of Sussex County.

Spotted Lanternflies are popping up at the Delaware beaches, where they have put into place a quarantine to attempt to stop the spread of the invasive insects. NBC10’s Tim Furlong has the story.
