Food vendors, cultural experiences, music and a greased pole in South Philadelphia this weekend at the South 9th Street Italian Market Festival.

The 2024 South 9th Street Italian Market Festival returns this weekend with lots of vendors and tons of family fun, but mostly lots of tasty food and one greased pole ready for climbing.

Police are on the lookout for a woman who is believed to have attacked two workers at shops in South Philly’s Italian Market after she was accused of shoplifting. One of the incidents was caught on video.

Video shows a woman attacking a restaurant owner in South Philly along South 9th Street. Officials said the woman was accused of robbing the shop before the incident. The same woman is also sought in attacks on other workers in the area, who also accused her of theft, as well.
