Police in the Harrisburg suburbs say the suspect in an armed robbery of a Subway is a 30-year-old man convicted of killing a teen-age boy in 2000.
Authorities charged James Borwegen of Carlisle on Wednesday with the robbery near Mechanicsburg and said he was a suspect in four similar robberies in the area since Thursday, PennLive.com reported.
The news organization says Borwegen was 16 years old when he shot the 13-year-old boy and was convicted of third-degree murder. He was sentenced to 7 to 14 years.
Police recovered a loaded handgun and clothes that match what the robbery suspect wore.
He faces charges of robbery, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, carrying a firearm when prohibited and carrying a firearm without a license. He's jailed on $960,000 bail.
