Man Shot, Killed Inside Haagen-Dazs Shop

Police are searching for two men who they say shot and killed a man inside a local ice cream shop.

On Saturday, shortly after 3:20 a.m., police were called to a robbery in progress at the Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream shop on 242 South Street. When they arrived they say they found a man in his 30’s laying on the floor with several gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at 3:37 a.m.

Police have identified the victim as 36-year-old Tom Watson. Law enforcement sources tell NBC10’s Nefertiti Jaquez however that the victim was a local DJ who was unloading equipment from a gig at the time of the shooting. Police say the victim lived in an apartment above the ice cream shop.

Police described the suspects as two men wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.
