Man Dealt Drugs at Famous Philly Cheesesteak Shop: Cops

Apparently one Jim’s Steaks employees was offering more than just steaks wit' at the iconic South Street cheesesteak shop.

Besides cheesesteaks one shop manager allegedly was selling drugs too.

Former Jim’s weekend shift manager Andre McMillian was arrested in August as he worked behind the counter of the 4th and South steak shop, according to Philadelphia Police.

McMillian, 48, had cocaine, painkillers and other drugs on him at the time, cops said.

About $25,000 worth of cocaine, marijuana, Percocet, Xanax and Endocet were found in McMillian’s possession, according to officials.

McMillian had a preliminary hearing Thursday on drug possession, intent to deliver and other charges.

Despite a history of drug problems involving Jim’s late co-owner, police told the Daily News that McMillian was allegedly dealing without the knowledge of ownership.

"The ownership of Jim's Steaks had no knowledge or any dealings with this defendant as to his illegal acts in or around the restaurant," said police spokesman Lt. Raymond Evers told the Daily News. "They were not interviewed."

McMillian had worked at Jim’s since 1996. He also faces trial for a Feb. 2010 drug arrest.
