Jamie Foxx told Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell he is "good now" following an incident in Philadelphia, Penn., last week that reportedly involved him in an altercation with a hotel intruder.

"I can't talk about it, because we're still dealing with it on the legal side," Foxx told O'Dell during an interview to promote his new film, "The Soloist," on Thursday afternoon in Beverly Hills. "But I'm good now. Shout out to Philadelphia and the mayor and everybody else to make sure it's good."

A source claimed to NBC affiliate station WCAU on Thursday that a suspect identified as Steven Taliver, who also goes by the alias William Brown, first attempted to reach Foxx on March 22, when he allegedly tried to get into an elevator that lead to the actor's penthouse at the AKA Hotel. On March 27, the man claimed to be Beyonce's producer in a second attempt to reach Foxx, the source claimed to WCAU. During the March 27 incident, Taliver was reportedly escorted from the hotel and told not to return.

However, according to TMZ, an unnamed intruder did reach Foxx during an incident on March 22. The site alleges a man reportedly fooled Foxx into thinking he was Beyonce's producer to get the star to open his door. Realizing something was wrong, Foxx reportedly overpowered the intruder and closed the door on him, causing the man to flee the scene.

During Thursday's interview, Foxx told O'Dell he has been advised to keep quiet on the incident.

"Sometimes you have to make sure every move you make in life is the right thing, and that you have people there to watch your back," he said.

According to WCAU's source, Taliver was again observed on hotel property, entering the hotel on March 31. Once the man was escorted outside, he reportedly made threats to security.

According to reports, police were then called to the scene and they arrested the man on suspicion of stalking and related charges.

Philadelphia police would not comment when reached by Access Hollywood.

The AKA Hotel told Access it was their policy "not to talk to the media about our hotel."

Foxx has been in Philadelphia filming the crime thriller "Law Abiding Citizen" with Gerard Butler, Catherine Zeta-Jones and "Doubt" star Viola Davis.

"The Soloist," in which Jamie stars opposite Robert Downey Jr., is due April 24.
