Teen Accused of Sexually Assaulting 4 Girls

A teenager from northeastern Pennsylvania is accused of sexually assaulting four girls over the past two years.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police did not release the name of the 17-year-old suspect on Friday. The high school student is charged with attempted rape, indecent assault and other offenses.

Police say two incidents took place on the grounds of the Pocono Mountain School District. The alleged victims are between 14 and 19 years old.

District spokeswoman Wendy Frable says administrators at Pocono Mountain West High School immediately notified police after a student reported an "incident of a sexual nature.''

Frable said in a statement Friday that school officials are reviewing policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all students.
