Police are investigating after a noose was found in the men's bathroom in a New Hartford park.

Delaware State Police are investigating a car accident that claimed the lives of two men.

Police say Grant Kinkade Sr., 45, of Westminster, Maryland and Robert Rust Jr., 64, of Lutherville, Maryland, were crossing Lighthouse Road (St. Rt. 54) in Fenwick Island, Delaware Friday night shortly after 11 p.m.

As they crossed from the north to the south side of Lighthouse Road, investigators say they walked in front of a 2008 Jeep Wrangler traveling eastbound. The Jeep struck both men and then stopped on the shoulder of the roadway.

Kinkade was pronounced dead at the scene while Rust was airlifted to Christiana Hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after. The driver of the Jeep, 57-year-old Timothy Frank of Reistertown, Maryland and his two passengers were not injured in the crash.

Lighthouse Road was closed for around four hours before it was cleared. State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
