A man and woman were killed in a murder-suicide in the East Germantown section of the city, according to police.
Investigators say a 53-year-old man shot a 59-year-old woman several times inside a home on the 6200 block of Clearview Street on Tuesday around 5:36 p.m.
The woman was struck once in the head and several times in the torso. Police say the man then shot himself once in the head.
The woman was taken to the Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:07 p.m.
Police have not yet revealed the identity of the victims. A weapon was recovered from the scene.
