Ben Simmons Fined $20,000 for Low Blow on Kyle Lowry in Game 3 of Sixers' Series Vs. Raptors

After getting away without penalty Thursday night, Ben Simmons was punished Friday for an elbow to Kyle Lowry's groin. The play occurred during a tangle under the basket in the second quarter of the Sixers' Game 3 win over Toronto (see video above).

Though Lowry complained persistently to the officials after the incident, he downplayed it after the game.

Simmons and Lowry have a history. The two were ejected on January 15 last year, after which Lowry invited Simmons to meet him in the tunnel after the game. Simmons later told reporters, "I'm not gonna take that s--- from anybody."

A Cardinal Dougherty and Villanova product, Lowry struggled in Game 3. The 33-year-old All-Star point guard shot 2 for 10 in the Raptors' 116-95 loss.
