A 14-year-old boy caught a stray bullet as he was riding his bike in North Philadelphia, police said Sunday.
The teen was riding on Luzerne Street near Front about 1:15 a.m. when he heard what he thought was a firecracker and then felt a pain in his thigh, police said.
He rode to his father's house, and when he arrived, he discovered a hole in his pants and a gunshot wound to his thigh, police said. The boy's father drove him to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. The teen was treated for a graze wound to his thigh and later released from the hospital, police said.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
