Regional Rail Delays

It was a slow start for commuters trying to get going this morning.

An equipment issue with a train that stopped between two interlockings cause residual delays of 30 to 45 minutes on most of SEPTA’s Regional Rail trains, according to SEPTA spokeswoman Heatheer Redfern.

The delays could play in role in the commute for commuters on various lines since the problematic train backed up trains coming in and out of Center City.

To ensure that you don’t get stuck standing out in the cold on the platform check the status of your specific route before you go.

"The best way people can check the status of their trains is via the TrainView section of our website or the mobile app," said Redfern.

Some trains on the Airport to Warminster route were delayed more than 30 minutes by late morning.

No word yet on when things will return to normal.
