Sarah Bartholomaus's life revolves around craft beer. She can tell you the difference between an IPA and a cream ale on the spot, without all of the jargon typically used by beer aficionados. And even with her quiet, calm demeanor, she's well-respected in North Carolina's craft beer community.
She is the chief operating officer of Foothills Brewing in Winston-Salem, N.C. But she's known as the "mama bear" inside the brewery's walls.
"I'm a foodie," Bartholomaus said. "I love good food. I think of beer as food. It belongs with good food like a fine wine." Read full story here
