A tennis coach at a Main Line Catholic School turned himself in to authorities Friday.
Charles Meredith, 52, was formally charged with corruption of a minor stemming from allegations he had inappropriate contact with one of his players at the all-girls Sacred Heart Day School in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Officials say the former tennis coach sent sexually inappropriate text messages to the 15-year-old victim. Meredith allegedly drove the same girl to a gym in Plymouth Township, kissed her and bought her ice cream before telling her not to mention the incident to anyone.

Authorities say that the inappropriate contact took place between August and October.
But James Freeman, an attorney for Meredith, says the allegations are false. Meredith did not send any text messages to the victim and no emails between the two exist either, Freeman said.
Meredith was fired from his coaching position in October when the allegations arose.
At that time Meredith said that the all-girls Catholic school in Bryn Mawr, Pa. fired him, but denied any knowledge of the accusations.
He told NBC10 he had no idea why he was fired. "It's an at-will state," he said.
