Cause of Fire That Killed 2 Girls Probed

A 4-year-old boy remains in critical condition as investigators look for the cause of a house fire just outside Philadelphia that killed two other young children.

The blaze in Chester broke out around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, with heavy flames and smoke visible from the rear of the house and reports of multiple people trapped inside.

Investigators and family members say two cousins, 9-year-old Amajhay Ferguson and 6-year-old Bella McKnight, died in the blaze. A third child, 4-year-old Moses McKnight, is in critical condition at a burn center Thursday.

Five firefighters were also hurt in the blaze, which happened two blocks from the Widener University campus.
