America's Coolest Small Town

A small town in Lancaster County is working to break a record for the most people wearing sunglasses

A central Pennsylvania town is trying to break the record for people wearing sunglasses in the dark as it hosts a festival Friday called "America's Coolest Small Town."

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era reports borough officials are trying to break the record of 1,642, which was set at Chicago's Wrigley Field on July 6.

That record was made as part of a screening of "Blues Brothers."

Organizers in Lititz say they will be handing out 2,000 pairs of sunglasses for Friday's event, which will also feature a Lady Gaga impersonator.

Mayor Ron Oettel says he thinks it will prove that Lititz is indeed America's coolest small town.

Lititz is about 70 miles west of Philadelphia.
