Woman Arrested After 4 Dogs Found Dead in Pittsburgh Home

Authorities in western Pennsylvania said they have arrested a woman after four dogs were found dead in a Pittsburgh home.

Public safety officials in Allegheny County said Sunday that 25-year-old Taura Krill McCormick faces five counts of animal cruelty and one count of harboring a nuisance.

Police said earlier that they were seeking the resident after officers investigating complaints of a foul odor found the bodies of two pit bulls, a terrier mix and a Rottweiler.

An emaciated pit bull was removed from the home in the Beechview neighborhood Friday, but officials say they hope the animal can be nursed back to health.

Court documents don't list an attorney for McCormick and a number listed for her rang unanswered Sunday.
