Officials are still trying to figure out why a house in western Pennsylvania suddenly exploded on Saturday killing five people, including a child, and injured three others. The explosion happened just outside of Pittsburgh and destroyed several homes and damaged about a dozen others.

Authorities in western Pennsylvania are investigating after an explosion left one person dead and multiple people hurt in the town of Plum. Three homes were destroyed and at least a dozen more were damaged. Homes in the immediate area have been evacuated and homeowners won’t be allowed back until the structures are deemed structurally sound.
