Skydiver Injured During Jump in Bucks County

One person is in the hospital after a skydiving accident in Bucks County.

Officials say a skydiver was injured while making a jump at the Pennridge Airport Sunday around 1:45 p.m. in Perkasie, Pa.

The skydiver was flown by helicopter to St. Luke’s Hospital. Officials have not yet revealed the victim’s identity or how severe the injuries are but do say he or she was taken to a trauma center.

Two other skydivers were injured in a separate incident Sunday at Laurel Airport in Delaware.

Investigators say the men were skydiving over the airport around 1:30 p.m. when their parachutes became entangled. The incident prevented one of the parachutes from fully deploying and caused the two to land together.

The men, 69 and 52, were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries and released.
