Delivery Service Expands to South Jersey

Same-day delivery service Instacart has expanded to another state so even South Jersey residents can get their groceries delivered right to their door.

The San Francisco-based company launched in the Philadelphia market in February 2014, and has since expanded to more areas in the region and more company partnerships, including Reading Terminal Market in September 2014 and most recently Asian grocery chain H Mart in March this year.

Starting Tuesday, Instacart will begin service in South Jersey, including Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Moorestown, Voorhees and Haddon Heights.

Customers will be able to order from Whole Foods Market, Costco, Petco and Acme Markets at launch.

"South Jersey has been on our minds for a long time," said David Schloss, general manager for the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas. "The reason was customer demand, both from customers telling us and what retail partners are telling us."
