Accused Serial Flasher Arrested in Bethlehem

Police found CD with recordings of moaning women inside attacker's car

The streets of Bethlehem, Pa. are a little more PG after a serial flasher was taken into custody for allegedly showing women a little more than his smile.

Benjamin Reiss, 20, has been charged with six counts of indecent exposure, stalking, open lewdness and disorderly conduct for publicly exposing himself and masturbating on the streets of the Lehigh Valley town, police said Tuesday.

The Bethlehem man was arrested with his accomplice -- a white Chevy Malibu -- Thursday after he attacked a girl and her dog on Geopp Street, police say.

The girl was too scared to talk about the attack, but her father -- who asked not to be identified -- said she noticed the car round the corner and pull over as if to ask for directions. But when she got closer, the girl found that the man was "doing things he shouldn't have been."

The traumatized victim ran home and called police.

Authorities believe Reiss has been on the prowl since the fall of 2008. They say he became increasingly bold in his attacks as time passed.

"He went from staying in his car and pulling up alongside people, to getting out and getting in front of females which would run into him," Bethlehem Police Lt. Mark DiLuzio said.

During a search of the man's car, police found DNA and a CD with recordings of women moaning and songs that are degrading to women.

With the span of time Reiss is accused of committing crimes, police believe could be other victims out there who haven't come forward. Anyone who has been affected are asked to call 610.865.7146.

As for Reiss, he's locked behind bars on $75,000 bail.
