A government agency is looking to hire hundreds of locals! So if you’re unemployed or need a second, part-time job, listen up.
The Camden Census Office of the U.S. Census Bureau is looking for 500 people to fill positions across six South Jersey counties.
Most positions are part-time and temporary with flexible hours paying $11.25 per hour.
The job entails collecting data for the census and positions include neighborhood canvassers, clerks, administrative assistants and supervisors.
Hiring will take place in February and March with canvassing from April through June.
Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish, Russian, Korean and Vietnamese are in high demand, as well.
Every 10 years, the government surveys the population count, which helps allocate federal and state funds, and determines congressional districts.
