ERIE, Pa. - Several school districts in northwestern Pennsylvania are closed or delaying classes because of snow that fell overnight. More is forecast for Monday.
The National Weather Service says the greater Erie area has totals ranging from nine to 14 inches on the ground Monday morning, after up to eight inches of snow fell overnight. Another four to eight inches of snow is forecast during the day Monday, with light snow continuing into Tuesday.
State police are reporting dozens of minor accidents and vehicles stuck in the snow.
Farther south, in the Pittsburgh area, light snows overnight are causing slick roads in spots and slowing the morning commute. One to three inches of snow are forecast in counties east and south of the city on Monday.
