Find Work on the Waterfront

Restaurant/bar job fair on April 21 and 22

It was a long time coming, but Rock Lobster on Delaware Avenue finally closed its doors in 2007 (they should have closed with the end of big hair and tongue piercings). Anyway, now that they're closed, it left a vacancy for Octo Waterfront Grille, the newest restaurant/club to hit the waterfront.

The Grille will open for business on Memorial Day weekend, but first, they need a staff.

And that's where you come in. If you're looking for a job or maybe just need some extra cash, Otco Grille (yeah, we're freaked out by the name, too) is holding a job fair today, April 21 and tomorrow, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at  Hyatt Penn’s Landing.

Owner Clark Maloney, formerly of G Lounge, is looking for skilled bartenders, servers, barbacks, food runners and kitchen staff. That's about 100 jobs they're looking to fill.

Octo Grille will be open daily for lunch and dinner mostly featuring, you guessed it, seafood. They'll also have steak, chicken and salads on the menu.

From Wednesday through the weekend, a live DJ will turn the restaurant into an outdoor dancing hotspot featuring three bars and lots of drink and beer options.

Got what it takes? Then get off your butt and get to the job fair!
