A pedestrian died when he was hit by a tractor-trailer while walking on Interstate 295 in South Jersey.

Philly.com reports 37-year-old Tyron DuBose II was hit while walking on the highway in Mount Laurel around 3:30 a.m. Monday. State troopers say the truck driver saw the man and tried to stop, but the truck hit the man.

The Cherry Hill man was hit a second time by another vehicle, said investigators.

Both drivers stopped at the scene.

Troopers continued to search for a cause Monday morning, leaving lanes closed between Route 70 and Route 38 until around 6:30 a.m.
