Former Penn Athlete Goes Missing

A former University of Pennsylvania athlete from Teaneck, New Jersey has been reported missing.

Timothy Hamlett was last seen by his parents at his residence on Wilson Avenue, the day after Christmas.

The 20-year-old told his parents he was going to see a nearby friend around 6:00 p.m. that evening, but never returned home.

According to a press release Hamlett’s location is unknown, but his family believes that he may be in the New York City area between 170th and 182nd Streets.

Timothy is six-feet tall and around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing jeans, a blue or purple colored zip up Adidas jacket with a hood, and sneakers.

“We love him more than life itself,” Timothy’s mother, Katherine Hamlett said. “We just want the safe return of our son.”

Hamlett was on the University of Pennsylvania’s track and field team for two years, but is currently on leave from the college.
