Residents in several areas of Darby are being ordered to leave their homes because of flooding due to Hurricane Sandy

Darby Borough Police have issued mandatory evacuations for residents who live in the following areas:

Springfield Road at McDade Boulevard

Chester Pike at New Walnut Street

700 Pine Street

Unit block of Main Street

800 Main Street

800 Fuller Street

12th, 13th and 14th Streets at the lower end

1000 block of Chestnut Street

Shelters are open at the Rec Center at 1020 Ridge Avenue in Darby and East Lansdowne "Basic School" at Emerson and Hurst.
