Philadelphia's Please Touch Museum Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

The Please Touch Museum has declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy to settle $60 million in bond debt owed.

The children's museum, which made the announcement Friday, said it will remain open while it attempts to raise $10 million through fundraising before March 2016 – the point when the reorganization process can be finalized, according to a press release

The Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia is in historic Memorial Hall, which was built for the nation's centennial celebration, 1876.
