The Globes are the most fun, kicked back show with both film and TV stars… (and alcohol, which may explain why it’s so kicked back!) It’s my favorite award show and here are my five all-time favorite Golden Globes dresses.

1. SARAH JESSICA PARKER
The gunmetal gray Chanel Couture gown she wore in 2004 is flawless in my book. I love how it is metallic and sparkly and lacey all at the same time. And I love the length of it - tea-length is unusual for an award show red carpet. The teal heels are a nice, unexpected pop of color.

2. KEIRA KNIGHTLEY
Love, love, love the elegant white Valentino gown she wore in 2006. The strapless, sleek column dress with bow belt detail is proof that keeping things on the simple side is often more stylish than loads of ruffles, fabric, sequins, etc.

3. HALLE BERRY
Halle looked super sexy in the Va Va Voom Valentino she wore in 2002. The coffee colored embroidered gown perfectly complimented her creamy skin and hugged her curves in all the right places.

4. ANGELINA JOLIE
“Somebody has to find Randolph Duke and hold him back, because it’s his dress and he’s gonna try to stop me, but I said I’d go in the pool if I won, so I think I just might have to go in the pool,” Angelina told reporters when she won for “Gia” in 1999. True to her word, she DID take a dip and our cameras caught it all. It goes without saying that she was smokin’ in her silver gown, which looked like molten metal. But even that dress couldn’t compare to what is sexiest about Angie - her unwavering chutzpah to play by her own rules.

5. REESE WITHERSPOON
The sunny yellow Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci strapless dress that Reese wore in 2007 perfectly matches her upbeat personality. But this was more than just a dress. This was a statement-making red carpet moment showing a sexy, newly single Reese. She had blonder locks, a new hairstyle with bangs and that short dress which showed off her toned, fabulous shape. One of those “looking-great-is-the-best-revenge-moments” and boy did she ever look great.
