Apple Fest: This Saturday or Sunday head to Peddler’s Village for apples, apples and more apples. From apple picking, apple pie contests to apple purchasing -- experience it all. Take home apple butter, cider, dumplings or fritters. There will be live entertainment and plenty of other festivities including artisan demonstrations and the selling of their creations. The weather will be great this weekend so round up the family and participate in all the fall fun. Peddler’s Village, Routes 202 and 263, Lahaska, Pa. 18931, Free, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Meet & Greet: This Saturday night, meet some of your favorite Eagles players as they help Philadelphia Cares. The nonprofit agency has planned a day full of activities, autographs and much more. Bring a child’s coat as your donation and get the chance to meet Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb. After that, sip on cocktails from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. with our lingerie football team, the Philadelphia Passion. Dance and party all for a good cause. Lotus Lounge, 101 North 20th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19103, Free, 5 p.m.-2 a.m.

Southern Swing: See Southern swing band, Christabel and the Jons Saturday at the PSLAM Salon. Hailing from Tennessee, the band combines familiar swing sounds to create colorful uplifting music. The group's look can also be described as 1950’s meets the new millennium (think party dresses and thick glasses). A solely acoustic group, lead singer Christa uses her sultry and heartfelt voice to captivate the audience and bring them to their feet. Grab your friends Saturday night to see Christabel and the Jons. The PSLAM Salon, 5841 Overbrook Ave, Philadelphia, Pa. 19131, $16-$20, 8 p.m.

Jimkata: Experience an electric feel this Saturday night at World Café Live with Jimkata and Beam & Deem. Both groups sound can be best described as electro-rock. Jimkata incorporates rock and roll with synthesizers. Beam & Deem are a bit more curious when it comes to their sound. They experiment with electronica, trip-hop, downtempo, dubstep and a dash of house. With various musical layers, both groups create a vibrant experience for the audience to hear and feel. World Café Live, 3025 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, +21, $9, 11 p.m.

Peter Bjorn & John: This Sunday night, XPN and Y-Rock welcome Peter Bjorn and John with Swedish singer El Perro Del Mar at the TLA. Peter Bjorn and John hail from Sweden, but bring a more indie rock meets electronica feel to the music scene. With various hits overseas, the duo are sure to make an impact in the U.S. Recently, they’ve worked with Kanye West and rapper Drake as well as performed at the 2009 Lollapalooza show.  El Perro Del Mar bring a melancholic pop sound to the indie scene. Catch both of these acts this Sunday on South. Theatre of the Living Arts, 334 South Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19147, $22-$25, 8 p.m.
