Emerging 76ers star forward Thaddeus Young most likely will miss the rest of the regular season after he was ruled out for the next two to three weeks with a right ankle injury.
He hurt his ankle during Tuesday's win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Luckily the injury wasn't more serious.
An MRI performed Monday revealed a bone bruise and sprain in Young's right ankle, according to team Orthopedist and Medical Director Dr. Jack McPhilemy of Main Line Health.
The 20-year-old is currently using crutches and a removable air cast to get around, according to the team.
The Sixers will miss Young in the lineup.
He had one of his best months as a pro in March when he averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 boards, 1.2 steals and 35 minutes per game.
