The Phillies are set to open up the 2018 season in just a matter of hours against the Braves down in Atlanta this afternoon but they're still searching for that missing piece to help their pitching.
Well, sort of.
The team posted a job application yesterday in search of a part-time bullpen arm that can serve up softballs (fastballs?) during home batting practice that can make the Phillies hitters look like Babe Ruth.
There's a catch though. Right-handers need not apply.
The team's Twitter account shared this message from the skipper.
Are you a lefty with (somewhat of) a cannon arm and a dream of being in the big leagues?
It's not too late – @gabekapler is looking for a left-handed BP pitcher to throw to our guys at CBP all season!
