‘That Play Has to Be Made,' Says Dom Brown After Not Making It

It changed the whole game.

A.J. Burnett was sharp for most of the evening. Ryne Sandberg said afterwards that he had "shutout stuff." And it very well could have been a shutout performance had Dom Brown not misplayed what appeared like a fairly routine ball in left when things were still scoreless.

Yes, the ball was hit pretty hard but it was right at Brown who broke in before realizing that was not the right move. He tried to back track and make a play on it but it fell in and the Marlins were on the board instead of the inning ending.
