Mike McKenna Takes Burger King Up on Offer, But With a Catch

Free Whoppers for a whole stadium sounds like a great deal, so what's the catch?

First you've got to get your team's goalie to wear this Burger King-themed mask during a game.

Burger King has launched their #kingagoalie campaign on Twitter, encouraging people to nominate their keeper to rock the signature BK mask. The nominated goalie that wears the mask gets free Whoppers for a whole stadium of fans.

Is this something the Flyers might be interested in? Probably not, though former Flyers and current Phantoms goalie Mike McKenna tweeted out his interest in being nominated, with the condition that Burger King donate an equal amount of food to a local pantry.

While this might be a great marketing move on Burger King's end, I'm not so sure any Flyers goalies will be interested, or willing to wear a mask that's not their own.
