Phillies’ Bryce Harper & Wife Kayla Celebrate Son’s ‘Incredible’ 1st Birthday

Bryce Harper and his wife Kayla had a huge milestone to celebrate on Saturday - their son Krew's 1st birthday.

It seems like just yesterday Harper was having his introductory press conference with the Phillies. During it, he stressed the importance of wanting to be able to start a family in Philadelphia. Now, just under two years later - the couple have their one son with a daughter on the way.

Today though, was all about Krew.

What better way to celebrate a birthday than going all out to the theme of his favorite movie? According to Harper's post to his son on Instagram, Disney's "The Incredibles" is the only movie he enjoys to watch.

The couple went all out to set the scene - big light up letters, balloons, cake, personalized superhero cape and, of course, they joined the fun with custom mom and dad shirts.

And the sweet factor doesn't stop there - Harper was thrilled to be able to share this day of his life on Instagram and how special it is to him as well:

"My dad always used to say "just wait until you have one of your own, then you'll understand" Kayla and myself welcomed our beautiful baby Boy Krew a year ago today. Of course it was life changing/ life altering stuff and I definitely didn't think I ever could love somebody or something so much. I love Krew more and more every day. His smile, his laugh, his attitude (gets it from his mama), and just about anything he does brings us so much happiness every day. He's growing up so quick. He's healthy and strong. He loves his Gpa, Mimi, Papa, and Nana so much. He loves walking and getting into everything. I think he is going to be an outdoors kinda kid because he loves to explore. He loves bath time, but hates getting dressed. (I know what ya mean kid) He crushes just about any food you put in front of him. The incredibles is the only movie/ thing he will watch. I actually think it's way more funny since I've watched it about 100,000 times. He also sleeps like champ. The one thing I will miss about year 1 looking back and what he has kinda out grown already is the cuddles. I miss that the most. I still get it sometimes, but I wish it was more. Year 1 was filled with so much, and I look forward to so so many more. We love you so much little dude! We will always be here for you! Through it all."

Here we were a year ago just minutes after welcoming Krew to the world. Little did we know our world changed so much for the better in those moments. Krew has challenged us, reminded us what love without condition is, and brought us more joy than anything we could have ever expected. As much as Krew has learned and grown this year I think Bryce and I have learned and grown just as much. I love seeing the world through his eyes and relearning the simple things in life with him. He has been the greatest gift and biggest blessing we could have ever received. This year has been crazy with everything going on in the world but I'm grateful God gave us so much unplanned family time before baby girl gets here. Happy 1 year Krew and happy one year of being parents and keeping another human alive babe! 😅
