Eagles Autism Challenge postponed from May until late summer or early fall originally appeared on NBC Sports Philadelphia
The 2021 Eagles Autism Challenge, originally scheduled for May 22, has been postponed until late summer or early fall, the Eagles announced Friday.
The Eagles Autism Challenge, which has raised over $10 million since being launched by owner Jeff Lurie in 2018, is a family-oriented one-day bike ride and fun run that starts and finishes at Lincoln Financial Field.

The 2018 and 2019 Eagles Autism Challenges were held live. The 2020 Eagles Autism Challenge was held virtually and still raised over $3 million.
“We have been closely monitoring developments over the last few months, and while much progress has been made in terms of turning the corner on the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel at this time that it is best to postpone the 2021 Eagles Autism Challenge,” Eagles Autism Foundation executive director Ryan Hammond said in a statement. “This decision was carefully made in the best interest of our loyal participants, Eagles fans, volunteers, support staff and the wider Philadelphia community.”
The Eagles said the exact date of the 2021 Eagles Autism Challenge will be announced soon after the 2021 Eagles schedule is released in May.
The Eagles Autism Challenge has helped to fund 35 research projects and community grants and provide resources to doctors and scientists to study autism.
