Joel Embiid expects to play tonight when the Sixers host the Charlotte Hornets (7 p.m. on CSN and CSNPhilly.com).
Embiid is listed as probable with an ankle injury suffered in Wednesday's 98-97 win over the Knicks. Embiid hurt the ankle in the second quarter and went back to the locker room, but was able to start the second half.
Embiid said Friday the ankle is "fine."

The Hornets are 20-19, seventh in the Eastern Conference. They beat the Sixers 109-93 back on Nov. 2 in Charlotte but Embiid did not play. That was the Sixers' first back-to-back of the season. They have another this weekend, and Embiid won't play Saturday in D.C. against the Wizards. Jahlil Okafor, who has totaled 10 minutes in the Sixers' last five games, is expected to play in Washington.
