Two days head of the NBA draft, the Sixers worked out projected top pick Ben Simmons on Tuesday, sources confirmed to CSNPhilly.com.
UPDATE 11:56: Sixers president of basketball operations Bryan Colangelo confirmed the workout to reporters.
The Sixers hold the No. 1 pick on Thursday night. Simmons has not worked out with any NBA teams during the draft process. The Sixers met with the LSU forward and his agent, Rich Paul, Thursday in Cleveland prior to Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
The Philadephia Inquirer was the first to report the workout.
Simmons averaged 19.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game for the Tigers as a freshman.
The Sixers previously worked out Duke forward Brandon Ingram. Ingram and Simmons are likely to be the top picks in the draft.
