Travis Konecny Practices, Eyeing Saturday Return Vs. Capitals

VOORHEES, N.J. -- Flyers forward Travis Konecny is close to returning to the lineup.

Konecny has missed eight games with a knee and ankle injury and was slated to be miss 4-6 weeks. He is about two weeks ahead of schedule.

"I feel good out there and that's my second full skate with the team," Konecny said. "I'm feeling good. Some guys were sick and hurt today, so I got to play with a few lines."

Sean Couturier left the practice with an illness. Michael Raffl was injured in Tuesday's game against Colorado.

Konecny filled in for Couturier between Dale Weise and Matt Read.

Konecny added he is having no trouble with movement, but said he needs to be cleared by the training staff to play Saturday in Washington. He won't play in Thursday's game against Florida.
