It's not the big-name signing we were all waiting to hear about, but the Eagles are bringing back a veteran linebacker.
The Eagles on Wednesday re-signed Paul Worrilow to a one-year contract. Mike Kaye of NJ.com was the first to report the signing.
Worrilow, 28, tore his ACL on the first day of OTAs last spring, but was notably around the team all season. He kept a locker and was seen before games walking and then later in the season running around the field as he rehabbed.
It was tough to watch Worrilow go down in the first practice last spring in the bubble.

The Wilmington, Delaware, native has plenty of NFL experience. He spent his first four seasons in Atlanta and then spent 2017 in Detroit. In all, he has played in 72 games with 52 starts and, if healthy, would provide the Eagles with some depth at linebacker and plenty of snaps on special teams.

From 2013 to 2015, Worrilow started 43 of 48 possible games with the Falcons. That experience is probably something that drew the Eagles to Worrilow when they signed him to a one-year deal last offseason.
The Eagles have plenty of other questions to answer at the linebacker spot. Nigel Bradham, Kamu Grugier-Hill and Nate Gerry are under contract for 2019, but the Eagles have several other free agents. D.J. Alexander, LaRoy Reynolds will become free agents in March. And then there's the biggest question about Jordan Hicks, who will also become a free agent. At times, Hicks has been a productive player in Philly, but has struggled to stay healthy.
Whether or not Hicks is back, Worrilow will get a shot to make the team as a depth player. It's nice to see him get another shot after his 2018 season ended long before it started.
