Former Eagles offensive lineman Todd Herremans hasn't been shy about speaking his mind. In February, Herremans talked with ESPN.com's Tim McManus about reworking the NFL's drug policy toward marijuana.
On Wednesday, Herremans tweeted about his friend and former teammate Brent Celek, who recently agreed to a pay cut. Celek will now earn $3 million this season instead of $4 million, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
You give a team everything you have for 10 years and they still want more. Sad. https://t.co/lR2ZBItlwE— Mr. Herremans (@toddherremans) April 19, 2017
Herremans did follow up that tweet with a few showing he understands the business side of the move. The Eagles entered this offseason in a tight salary cap situation.
I understand the business side of the move. I am simply speaking as a former player and friend.— Mr. Herremans (@toddherremans) April 19, 2017
