Updated: 2:30 p.m.

Eagles defensive end Derek Barnett has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings becuase of a shoulder injury.

Barnett suffered the injury during the Titans game and didn't practice all week. Earlier on Friday, Doug Pederson called Barnett "day to day."

Here are the game statuses for Sunday:

Out: Derek Barnett (shoulder), Darren Sproles (hamstring)

Questionable: Corey Clement (quad), Haloti Ngata (calf)

Barnett, 22, has been the Eagles' most consistent defensive end in his second NFL season, so not having him on Sunday will hurt. But even without Barnett, though, the Eagles would still have Brandon Graham, Chris Long and Michael Bennett. They will likely activate and play rookie Josh Sweat, who has yet to take a defensive snap this season.

Pederson said Sweat has been rotating in during practice over the first quarter of the season and could play some on Sunday.

"He's done a nice job and if that's the case (Barnett out)," Pederson said, "I feel comfortable with him being in the rotation."

Corey Clement, Darren Sproles
The Eagles are in danger of missing two of their key running backs again this week. Sproles is out, but Clement apparently has a chance to play. Both players have missed the two most important days of practice, even though Clement has been seen running on a side field.

"Both Darren and Corey are going to give us a little something today, see what we can do and then make a determination after that," Pederson said. "If they can't, then Wendell (Smallwood) and Jay (Ajayi) and Josh (Adams) again have a great opportunity. Again, it goes back to the health of the player and making sure everybody is at least 100 percent or at least close to it."

The areas where the Eagles have really missed these two is on third downs and on special teams.

Jason Kelce
The Eagles' veteran center is a tough guy and hasn't even been listed on the injury report or missed significant practice time, but he's clearly not 100 percent. He's been seen wearing a knee brace and there's something ailing him.

When asked about an NBC Sports Philadelphia report that Isaac Seumalo could start at left guard this week, Pederson volunteered some information about Kelce. He said Kelce has been getting "a little extra rest" during the week.

"Just rest," Pederson said. "He's a veteran player who does a lot for us and just want to make sure that he's 100 percent. He practices full every day, but just want to give him a play here or there."
