Ben Simmons' social media clap back savagery is in midseason form.
Earlier today, a video of the Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson trashing the other Eastern Conference teams emerged from a post-practice media session.
In the video, he claims the Cavaliers are still the team in the East to beat, for a variety of somewhat questionable reasons, but his main shot at the Sixers was that they ‘almost' got swept.
Simmons is having none of it.
He was quick to comment on the House of Highlights video that shared the rant from Thompson.

...and since you know Joel Embiid never saw a social media troll opportunity he didn't like, he got in on the action as well.
Thompson commented back that he "can't wait", and frankly, neither can we.
Now, take note that both Thompson and Simmons are involved in the Kardashian circle. Simmons was recently rumored to be dating Kendall Jenner, while Thompson is currently dating Khloe. The pair just welcomed their first child together. Jenner and Simmons allegedly called it quits earlier this summer, so it's up to you to decide if this beef is about more than just basketball.
Whether this is concerns the Kardashian circle or not, we're looking forward to this one being solved on the basketball court.
