Tonight's Lineup: Peter Bourjos Leading Off, Tommy Joseph Returns

Going against Madison Bumgarner tonight — one of the best pitchers in the game — Pete Mackanin will throw out a new-look lineup to combat the power lefty.

The red-hot Peter Bourjos will leadoff and play center, giving Odubel Herrera a night off.

Ryan Howard, Cesar Hernandez and Cody Asche all will sit tonight after playing last night.

Tommy Joseph returns to the lineup after sitting for the last two games. After a hot start to his MLB career, Joseph has slumped a bit in June, hitting just .216 in June.

Andres Blanco takes over for Cesar Hernandez at second base. Blanco has impressed over the past week, hitting .320 with four of his eight hits going for extra-bases.

Tyler Goeddel slides over to right field to make room for Jimmy Paredes in left, giving Cody Asche the night off. Since coming over from the Blue Jays, Paredes has hit just .225 with 11 strikeouts in 18 games.
