Roy Halladay's Legacy Lives on Through ‘Doc', an Adorable Police K-9

The late Roy Halladay is still making a positive impact on his local community.

This time, his great work off the mound adding to his posthumous legacy. Halladay helped bring a K9 police dog to the Pasco County (Fla.) Sheriff's Department, who have been sharing adorable photos on social media of the pup recently.

Last year, prior to his fatal plane crash, Halladay donated around $10,000 to local police department that helped the department to purchase the dog, who they lovingly named "Doc", USA TODAY reported.

Check out the photos of this adorably happy dog.

"Doc" the dog even has Halladay's autograph on his collar, along with a hat the former Phillies pitcher autographed for the deputy at the police station. The dog was purchased last March, but the Pasco's social media page frequently updates their followers with lots of adorable photo of the K9.

It looks like even people beyond the baseball world have a lot to thank Doc for, solidifying that his legacy will continue to live on in both realms.
