Eagles Select WR Shelton Gibson With 5th-round Pick

The Eagles selected West Virginia wide receiver Shelton Gibson with the 166th overall pick in the fifth round of the NFL draft. They made two trades before the selection.

First, they traded their fifth round pick (155) to Titans for their fifth round pick (164) and their sixth round pick (214.) Then, they traded the 164th overall pick and their sixth round pick (194) to the Dolphins for their two fifth-round picks (166 and 184).

Gibson becomes the third straight offensive player the Eagles have taken in the draft.

The Eagles nabbed two offensive players in the fourth round -- North Carolina wide receiver Mack Collins and San Diego State running back Donnel Pumphrey. They traded their fourth round pick (139) and seventh round pick (230) for the Vikings' fourth-round pick to move up.

The Eagles on Friday nabbed two cornerbacks, Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas, in Day 2 of the draft. They also selected Derek Barnett in the first round with the 14th overall pick.

The draft will wrap on Saturday, and the Eagles have two more picks in the sixth round (184 and 214).
