Where's Our Orange and Black?

Chicago's decked out, but you’d hardly know we're in the Finals

We all know this city's got a lot of heart when it comes to our sports teams. But I've gotta point out the glaringly obvious -- where's the orange and black?

Sure, from South Philly to the shore there are people walking around with Flyers gear, but look around the city and you'd hardly know we're competing for the Lord Stanley's Cup.

No jerseys on statues, no orange fountains, no banners, no posters -- nothing.

If you take a look at our competition, the whole city looks like the Blackhawks' field house.

Everywhere you go there's red and black. Even Michael Jordan (well, the statue) is decked out in front of the United Center.

Come on, Philly. I know we’re pretty broke and all, but how hard is it to show a little love?

Some say the city's afraid to bring back the Curse of Billy Penn.

The last time the Fly Guys went to the Cup, it was 1997 and the city adorned Billy Penn with a huge Flyers jersey. They went on to lose the Cup Final.

But the Phillies broke the curse in 2008 with their World Series win, right?

We do have to give props to a few standouts like SEPTA who's saying GO FLYERS on all their buses and the Inky and Mellon Bank Center for going orange.

As for the rest of you, bring on the orange and black.
