Philly-Area Athletes Morgan Craft & Matt Emmons Shoot for Gold in Rio

Two Philadelphia-area Olympians will shoot for gold in Rio.

Morgan Craft, of Muncy Valley, Pennsylvania, will take her first Olympic shots in skeet shooting Friday morning. Browns Mills, New Jersey's Matt Emmons, participating in his fourth Olympics, will compete in 50-meter 3 Positions Rifle shooting Sunday.

With a gold, silver and bronze in previous games, Emmons has had his fair-share of losses. In 2004, the shooter lost in the three positions final after he shot at the wrong target and scored 0.0. Then, at the 2008 games, Emmons endured another loss in the final round in the three positions competition when his finger slipped and he fired early. [[389087412, C]]

"Life’s too short to swell upon the negative," Emmons said. "There’s nothing I can change about the past. I can only move forward."

If Craft makes it to the finals, watch LIVE online at 2 p.m.
